Salsa del Soul at Salsa in the Street - Winona
Are you ready for the last Street Dance of the Summer!?! Mark your calendars, Winona, because this one’s going to be HOT. Downtown Third Street will be twisting and vibing to the sounds of LIVE Latin music at the much-anticipated fall dance “Salsa In The Street!”
On Friday, September 19 from 6-11 pm, the community is invited to a free dance party thrown by River City Ballroom Dancers/Breitlow Ballroom. April Dahl will teach a beginning Salsa lesson from 6-7 pm, Salsa del Soul will provide LIVE Latin music from 7-9 pm. Late-night Latin dancing in the street will continue on from 9-11 pm with DJ Max Ortiz from Rochester.
Salsa del Soul is a Twin Cities-based, nine-piece orchestra that performs various styles of dance music from the Spanish-speaking regions of the Caribbean. They represent some of the finest talents in the Twin Cities Latin music scene with styles including Son, Son Montuno, Plena, Cha-cha-cha, Bachata, Merengue, Timba, and, of course, Salsa!
This incredible event will be on Third Street at the corner of Center Street (in front of Blooming Grounds).
ALL ARE WELCOME at this party...Come fill our street with music and dancing for the final event of the season!

Thursday Blockbusters Series provides the very best in free outdoor entertainment on Thursdays throughout the summer at Normandale Lake Bandshell. It features top quality musical performances, food trucks and beer sales at each show!

The bandshell performance venue is a natural grass amphitheater with no permanent seating. Please consider bringing a blanket or lawn chair for your comfort and convenience while enjoying the event.

K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library is putting on an outdoor “block party,” culminating in a live performance by the Minneapolis-based nine-piece, Latin American orchestra, Salsa Del Soul. The event will also feature food, a Diego Rivera-inspired mural project, crafts and outdoor games.

ArtBlast is a eight-day celebration of the arts, sponsored by the Rosemount Area Arts Council. ArtBlast is designed to provide Rosemount and the surrounding communities with the opportunity to experience many kinds of art in a single, art-filled week. It includes daily and nightly entertainment, performing arts, art exhibits, arts and crafts activities, a photo contest, a quilt and fiber art show, and more. Most of the events are FREE. Events take place primarily at the Steeple Center and Rosemount Central Park.
